Mission Statement of Pease Public Library:

The Pease Public Library strives to foster lifelong learning and be the community hub of Plymouth.

The Library will be a safe place where community members will feel comfortable to be themselves. It will be a center for recreational resources, literacy promotion, and an informational hub.

Library Services:

We are committed to providing a wide variety of services to our diverse population. 

We circulate books, audiobooks, DVDs, Blu-rays, puzzles and magazines for all ages. Additionally, we have a travel section, the Durgin Business Collection, Great Courses on DVD and audio, a large print collection, and a telescope available for check out.

The library sponsors programs that support its mission of entertaining and informing the community. Please see our events calendar for current programming.

We offer free public wireless internet access and 7 public computers (5 PCS and 2 Macs). We have a black and white copy machine. All b & w copies are .15 per page. Color copies services are 1.00 and are available at the request of library staff. Please don’t hesitate to ask!
The library offers DVD and CD cleaning services for $2.00 per disc fee.

Pease Library is part of the NH downloadable books consortium and offers e-books and digital audio books through Overdrive. Kindle e-readers are available to check out from the library.

We have a very active children’s room! We hold storytime sessions weekly for toddlers and preschoolers.  The summer reading program is great for all ages, readers or not! This program runs June through August.

We offer meeting room space and quiet study rooms. Meeting rooms should be reserved in advance by calling 603-536-2616.

The Young Ladies Library Association generously sponsors our discounted museum pass program for our patrons. Please view our Museum Pass page for a list of museums and attractions where Pease Library cardholders can get discounts on admittance prices.

Additionally, we offer interlibrary loans for materials that we do not own (borrowing items from other libraries in the state).

Our George V. Durgin collection consists of current, quality business books named after a self-made man. Mr. Durgin viewed libraries as the educators of Everyman, and the collection is supported by ongoing donations from the Durgin family.

On the library’s lower level is our book sale room. Look for great deals on audiobooks, paperbacks, hard covers, fiction and non-fiction. This room is only available when the library is open.  Please ask at the front desk if the door is locked. There are additional books for sale upstairs at the entrance of the library.

Most materials are checked out for three weeks. Magazines are 14 days.  DVDs and Blu-rays are 14 day rentals.  There are no fines on late books or DVDs.  Please see our circulation policy for more information.
