Slow stitching is a mindful embroidery practice where you stitch without a plan, focusing on the process and feel of the thread and fabric. Participants simply take a piece of fabric, needle and thread and use simple stitches upon the textile. No sewing experience necessary! Materials for the base and fabric scraps, lace bits, buttons, threads, fabric scissors, and needles will be provided. It is helpful to bring your own thimble, good sharp scissors and any bits and bobs you might want to incorporate to personalize your piece. Registration is required.
